Manish Brahmbhatt Launches Cockroach Janta Party-Democratic in New Delhi

In New Delhi on Thursday, Manish Brahmbhatt, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party-Democratic, announced the launch of the new political platform called the Cockroach Janta Party-Democratic. Speaking at the launch, Brahmbhatt said the new organisation would focus on transparency, accountability, and democratic decision-making as its core operational principles, according to news agency ANI.

The launch sets up a CJP versus CJP-D challenge for Abhijeet Dipke of the Cockroach Janta Party. To build its initial base, the newly founded outfit has rolled out multiple public contact channels, enabling citizens across the country to join through social media accounts, a WhatsApp contact, and a dedicated missed-call facility.

Announcing the outreach drive, Brahmbhatt said that the platform was releasing these digital access points to connect directly with the public across the country. “We are launching Cockroach Janta Party-Democratic. Today, we are announcing social media accounts, a WhatsApp number and a missed-call number for the nation,” he said.

Brahmbhatt stated that the organisation aims to establish and build a national team through an open, democratic process where members are directly involved in key organisational decisions.

Outlining the criteria for prospective members, Brahmbhatt said that anyone who supports transparency and accountability can join the initiative. “Anyone who supports transparency and accountability, and believes that accountability should apply to the team as well and not just the government, can join,” Brahmbhatt said.

He emphasised that such accountability should not only be demanded from the government, but must also apply internally to the team itself.

Explaining the motivation and reasons behind establishing the new entity, Brahmbhatt alleged that vested political interests had steadily co-opted and taken over what had originated as a broader people's movement. He noted that prior attempts and efforts had been made to convince leaders and those involved within the initiative that the movement belonged to the country as a whole and ought not to be centred around any single individual.
