Man shot in thigh during road rage clash near Azadpur Mandi in north Delhi

A 23-year-old man was shot and injured in a road rage incident near the Azadpur Mandi entry gate in north Delhi during the early hours of Thursday. The violent clash, which took place near the Azadpur underpass, began as an argument over rash driving between two groups travelling in different vehicles.
The victim, identified as Prince Maan, was travelling with his associates Jatin and Harsh. The three men, who are residents of Prahladpur Bangar, were travelling in their car towards Model Town when the dispute began around 12:30 AM.
The other vehicle, a Baleno, was occupied by another group heading towards GTB Nagar. This group included Mohammad Kaif, Harshit Gupta, Aman Jatav, Kamal, and Haider.
According to a preliminary investigation by the Delhi Police, the verbal argument over driving quickly escalated into a physical altercation between the two groups. During the physical scuffle, a few associates of Kaif arrived at the scene riding on two scooters. One of these newly arrived associates allegedly pulled out a firearm and opened fire.
A senior police officer stated that one shot was fired into the air, while another shot struck Maan in his left thigh.
A traffic constable who was deployed in the area immediately secured the spot, detained Kaif, and alerted the local police about the gunfire.
Maan was rushed to Lok Nayak Hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment. Police officers confirmed that his condition is stable.
During their subsequent inspection of the crime scene, police recovered one live cartridge. An FIR has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. The Delhi Police are currently working to identify and arrest the alleged shooter, and further investigation is underway.
