Man Shoots Wife Dead in Sangam Vihar, Delhi Police Launch Manhunt

A 30-year-old woman was shot dead inside her home in the Tigri area of Sangam Vihar, South Delhi, on Thursday afternoon. The Delhi Police have launched an active manhunt to locate her husband, who is accused of firing multiple rounds at her before fleeing the scene.

The fatal incident took place at approximately 4 pm. According to police officials, the deceased woman was shot four times by her husband, who has been identified as Shubham Rajput. Rajput fled the residence immediately after the shooting took place.

The couple had been married for approximately two years, according to the preliminary investigation. Police reports indicate that the marriage was marked by frequent arguments, and Rajput had allegedly been threatening the victim with dire consequences during their disputes.

Following the shooting, the victim's family came forward with serious allegations regarding Rajput's personal conduct. They alleged that Rajput was involved in an extramarital affair with another woman, which they claim led to persistent marital discord and arguments between the couple.

According to a police officer involved in the case, the family asserted that the accused was in a relationship with another woman and had frequently threatened to kill his wife. "The family has claimed that the accused was in a relationship with another woman and would often threaten to kill her. These allegations are being verified," the officer said.

In addition to the allegations of infidelity, relatives of the victim also alleged that Rajput was actively involved in betting activities.

The Delhi Police are currently investigating these claims as part of their broader inquiry into the murder. A search operation is underway by the Delhi Police to locate and apprehend Rajput, who remains at large following the incident on Thursday. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
