Man Arrested from KN Katju Marg in Rohini for Wife's Murder in Bhalswa Dairy

Police have arrested a 40-year-old man from the K N Katju Marg area in Rohini for allegedly murdering his wife two months ago in northwest Delhi's Bhalswa Dairy.

The accused, identified as Sharvar Ali, had been on the run since the incident took place on June 6. The victim, Ujma, was found murdered at the time, leaving behind three children.

According to police, Ali had been actively evading law enforcement, and formal proceedings to declare him a proclaimed offender were already underway. Multiple police teams had been constituted to trace his whereabouts following the registration of a murder case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Bhalswa Dairy police station.

The initial crime scene had been inspected and examined by a dedicated crime team alongside personnel from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Shashank Jaiswal said that investigators tracked Ali down using a combination of technical surveillance and manual intelligence inputs, leading to his arrest from the K N Katju Marg area on Friday.

Police officials revealed that Ali suspected his wife of being involved in extramarital relationships. A senior officer noted that the couple's relationship was also strained due to frequent domestic disputes arising over his unemployment. Investigators suspect these ongoing issues and conflicts may have driven the accused to commit the murder.
