Man and Woman Found Dead in Burari Flat in Suspected Suicide Pact

The Delhi Police are currently investigating the deaths of a man and a woman in the Burari area of Delhi. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, is suspected by authorities to be a mutual suicide pact in which the man allegedly shot the woman dead before dying by suicide.

According to the police, the bodies of the two individuals were discovered at approximately 3:30 p.m. by the woman's younger sister. The sister made the discovery when she returned home from work. Following the discovery, a PCR call was made to the police, alerting them that two people were lying dead inside the rented flat.

A team of police officers rushed to the spot in Burari immediately after receiving the PCR call to secure the site and launch a formal investigation into the deaths.

Investigators revealed that the deceased woman was a native of Uttar Pradesh who had been living in the rented accommodation in Burari with her younger sister. Meanwhile, the deceased man was a resident of Haryana who lived separately in north Delhi.

A senior police officer stated that preliminary investigations suggest the man and the woman had been in a relationship for the past few months. The officer added that, prima facie, the incident appears to be a suicide pact that was carried out under mutual understanding between the two.

At present, the Delhi Police are waiting for the crime and forensic teams to arrive at the scene to gather further details. Investigators are also working to ascertain the exact sequence of events and the precise circumstances that led to the deaths of the two individuals.
