Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility for Gangster Vinod Panu Killing in Hisar

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the fatal shooting of rival gangster Vinod Panu, alias Kana, who was attacked outside a court in Hisar, Haryana, on Thursday.

The Lawrence group issued its claim of responsibility through an audio recording and a social media post released on Friday, following the brazen daylight murder. Panu was described as a high-profile criminal who was facing over 30 criminal cases, including charges of murder and extortion.

The shooting took place shortly after Panu had attended a scheduled hearing at the court. As he moved near the court's parking lot, assailants ambushed him and opened fire, discharging around 14 rounds in rapid succession.

The barrage of gunfire critically injured Panu and two of his associates who were present with him. Panu was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his bullet injuries.

The daylight attack on the court premises triggered widespread panic and chaos among lawyers, administrative staff, and visitors who were present on the grounds during the time of the shooting.

Following the incident, a message was posted on social media under the user profile name Anil Pandit. The post detailed the motive behind the attack and identified the key individuals who allegedly carried out and ordered the hit.

According to the English transcription of the social media message, the writer stated: "Hail Mahakal, Hail Shri Ram. Greetings to all brothers. The murder of Vinod Panu alias Kana that took place yesterday at Hisar court was executed by me, Himanshu Sonipat. I did this at the instructions of my elder brother Rohit Sonipat, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu."

The message went on to explain the motive, stating that Panu considered himself a big gangster and was aligned with the gang's enemies, adding that he was shown his true place. The post concluded with a warning directed at other rivals, stating: "To all those remaining, listen carefully: mend your ways while there is time, or everyone will meet the same fate."
