Karol Bagh Police Arrest Employee and Three Others for Rs 1 Crore Shop Heist

The Karol Bagh police have arrested a 24-year-old shop employee and his three associates within 24 hours of a major burglary at a wholesale mobile phone shop in Beadonpura, Karol Bagh. The suspects allegedly stole cash and electronics worth nearly Rs 1 crore on Wednesday, using regular keys to gain access to the store.
The incident came to light on Wednesday afternoon when the shop owner, a resident of Hisar in Haryana, arrived to open his premises. Upon entering, he found the shop ransacked and discovered that around Rs 90 lakh in cash, five mobile phones, and the digital video recorder (DVR) of the shop's CCTV system were missing. The owner reported the burglary to the Karol Bagh police station at 2:33 PM.
During the initial investigation, police suspected the involvement of an insider. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Rohit Rajbir Singh stated that the offence had been committed with the assistance of a person who had prior knowledge of the shop and its functioning.
Investigators quickly focused on Ravi, a trusted 24-year-old employee at the store. Ravi later admitted to the police that he was responsible for locking the shop every night. Because he had regular access to the shop's keys, he was able to hatch the conspiracy to rob the business.
Ravi allegedly planned the heist with three associates, identified as Ansh, 22, Manish, 22, and Dipanshu, 23. Police traced the three accomplices to outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri, where they all resided.
Local police conducted targeted raids in Mangolpuri, which led to the apprehension of Ansh. During his arrest, officers recovered three bags containing Rs 84 lakh in stolen cash. The police team subsequently nabbed Ravi, Manish, and Dipanshu, and successfully recovered the stolen mobile phones.
