JP Nadda Meets CJP Delegation In New Delhi Over NEET Protest Demands

Union Health Minister JP Nadda held talks with a Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) delegation at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday to address demands arising from the 'Sansad Chalo' protest. Speaking briefly after the meeting, Nadda described the discussions as having gone "fine."

The meeting occurred amid escalating protests in the capital, which saw thousands of demonstrators attempt to march toward Parliament on Monday. The demonstrators are demanding action following the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.

The CJP delegation, represented by national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and chief spokesperson Saurav Das, raised three primary demands during the discussion at Nadda's residence.

First, the delegation demanded the immediate resignation or sacking of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged paper leak. Second, they requested a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of the NEET aspirants who have died, with Das noting that more than 20 aspirants have lost their lives. Third, the delegation called for the immediate release of activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is currently in the hospital.

According to Ranka, Nadda assured the delegation that he would discuss the raised demands at the appropriate level. However, the minister made no concrete commitments during the Tuesday meeting.

As Nadda arrived for the NDA Parliamentary Party Meeting, 'Mangal Milan', he briefly commented on the interaction, stating, "It was fine, it is always fine."

The CJP has announced that the demonstrations will not stop. Chief spokesperson Saurav Das confirmed that the protest is set to continue in the city until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns from his cabinet position.
