Janmashtami Curbs to Hit Traffic Near Nehru Place and ISKCON Temple on Friday

Commuters traveling through Nehru Place and adjoining areas have been advised to plan their journeys in advance as Janmashtami processions and temple events are expected to restrict traffic movement across several parts of Delhi on Friday.

Significant congestion is anticipated around major religious venues and along procession routes throughout the city. In south Delhi, large devotee gatherings at the ISKCON temple in East of Kailash are expected to slow down traffic significantly.

The vehicular slowdown is set to impact stretches along the Outer Ring Road, Sant Nagar Marg, Captain Gaur Marg, and multiple adjoining corridors directly connected to Nehru Place.

Traffic disruptions are also scheduled in southwest Delhi due to the Shree Jagannath Shobha Yatra in Dashrathpuri. Traffic movement in this area will be affected between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon.

The Shobha Yatra will proceed through Dashrathpuri and the streets of Palam-Dabri Road before culminating at Dashrathpuri Main Extension, with traffic curbs planned along the entire procession path.

Meanwhile, in New Delhi district, elaborate arrangements have been put in place around the Laxmi Narain Mandir, popularly known as Birla Mandir, where large crowds of devotees are expected to assemble for the festival.

Traffic authorities noted that entry to the main Birla Mandir complex will be permitted only through Mandir Marg, which commuters and visitors can access via Kali Bari Marg or Peshwa Road.
