Health Minister Inspects Dwarka's Indira Gandhi Hospital as H1N1 Cases Rise

Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh inspected Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka to review the facility's preparedness amid a continuous rise in H1N1 cases across the national capital.

The inspection followed the detection of 166 fresh H1N1 infections across Delhi within a 24-hour period, an increase from the 138 cases recorded on the preceding day. Officials confirmed the updated figures on Thursday.

During his visit to the Dwarka hospital, the Health Minister assessed the readiness of the hospital staff, infrastructure, and the Health Department. Singh stated that he has been closely monitoring medical preparedness across hospitals to manage the surge effectively.

According to an official statement, the latest spike has taken the cumulative tally of H1N1 cases in Delhi to 2,612. In addition, cumulative Influenza-A cases in the national capital have reached approximately 3,300.
