The case came to light following a tip-off received by the Special Staff of the Outer North district. The killing had not been previously reported to the police before the information was received.

According to police officials, after receiving the intelligence regarding the alleged murder, the Special Staff team worked to verify the details and laid a trap to apprehend the suspect. During initial questioning, the accused allegedly admitted his involvement in the girl's murder.

The suspect subsequently led investigators to Ajit Vihar in Burari, where the victim's body had been concealed inside a suitcase. Police reached the site and recovered the body, which was later sent for necessary legal and post-mortem procedures.
