Four suspected shooters killed in Gurgaon Police shootout in Sushant Lok

On Thursday, four alleged shooters associated with gangster Deepak Nandal were killed and another was injured during a shootout with the Gurgaon Police in the upscale Sushant Lok area of Gurgaon.
The encounter took place when the suspects allegedly attempted to target a local businessman's residence following a Rs 10 crore extortion demand. According to the police, the group of shooters had arrived at the Sushant Lok property to execute the attack when the exchange of fire occurred.
Investigators linked the deceased men to Deepak Nandal, a 39-year-old music producer-turned-gangster originally from Rohtak. Police claim Nandal has been running an extortion network from London after fleeing India in July 2024 via Dubai.
Nandal was once a producer and rapper in the Haryanvi music industry, having worked with prominent artists. Police stated that his involvement in disputes within the music industry gradually escalated into serious criminal activities, including extortion and shootings.
The Delhi and Haryana Police currently seek Nandal in multiple cases of attempted murder, firing, and extortion. His criminal record dates back to 2009, when his first case was registered for an attempted murder in Gurgaon's Sadar Bazar, a case in which he was later acquitted.
Prior to the Sushant Lok shootout, Nandal's name had surfaced in several other incidents in the region. In August 2025, his name emerged in connection with the killing of property dealer Rohit Shaukeen in Gurgaon. He is also accused of orchestrating an attack on singer Rahul Fazilpuria in Gurgaon in July last year, which investigators believe was carried out by associates of Sunil Sardania following a dispute over an alleged Rs 5 crore loan.
Additionally, in September 2025, Nandal's associates allegedly fired 25 to 30 shots at the MNR Builders office in Gurgaon's Sector 45. In October 2025, another firing incident involving 55 to 60 rounds occurred at the Unisys Info Solutions office in Alpha City, Karnal. He is also accused of demanding Rs 5 crore from a singer in Delhi last week.
