Delhi University Receives 41,473 Undergraduate Registrations on Day One

Delhi University received 41,473 registrations for its undergraduate courses within the first day of opening the phase one admission process. The university, located in Delhi, commenced the registration period to begin filling its undergraduate seats for the upcoming academic session.
According to university officials, the first phase of the admission process, which consists of the initial registration period, is currently under way. Delhi University has approximately 71,600 undergraduate seats on offer across 73 academic programmes and 100 BA programme combinations.
Officials confirmed that the final allocation of these undergraduate seats will be based on the candidates' Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. The university will also take into account the specific programme and college preferences indicated by the applicants during their registration.
Alongside the undergraduate registrations, Delhi University is also processing admissions for its postgraduate and professional programmes. Following two completed rounds of postgraduate admissions, a total of 9,675 applicants have successfully confirmed their admissions.
Among these postgraduate candidates, 4,926 applicants have chosen to freeze their allotted seats. Meanwhile, another 3,745 candidates have opted for an upgrade, which makes them eligible for consideration in subsequent rounds if a seat opens up in a higher-ranked programme on their preference list.
Admissions for other specialized courses at the university, including B.Tech and the five-year integrated law programmes, are also progressing through different stages of the enrollment process.
For the B.Tech programmes, the first round of admissions is currently under way. So far, 233 candidates have accepted their allotted seats, and 41 of those applicants have completed their fee payments.
