Delhi University launches Phase I of undergraduate admissions for 2026-27 session

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, Delhi University (DU) officially commenced Phase I of its undergraduate admissions process for the academic session 2026-27. Candidates who appeared for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) – 2026] can now register online through the university's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal to apply for courses across 67 affiliated colleges.
This admission cycle offers entry into 73 undergraduate programmes and more than 100 B.A. programmes. University officials stated that admissions to these college programmes will be based solely on the scores obtained in the CUET (UG) - 2026, provided that applicants meet the specific eligibility criteria outlined in the UG Bulletin of Information 2026-27.
To register during this initial phase, candidates must log onto the CSAS portal using their CUET (UG) - 2026 application number. To ensure a secure and hassle-free registration experience, the university has auto-integrated essential candidate details, including name, date of birth, photograph, and signature, through the Government of India's secure API Setu. According to DU, this integration eliminates the process of managing duplicate data, enhances data security, and minimises student-specific entry errors. A one-time, non-refundable registration fee is applicable at this stage.
In the subsequent Phase II of the CSAS, candidates will be required to map their CUET test papers to the subjects they studied in Class XII. The university clarified that only the language and domain-specific papers in which the candidate passed Class XII will be considered for determining programme-specific eligibility.
Based on this subject mapping, the university will calculate cumulative scores for all eligible programmes. Candidates will then be asked to submit their preferences for specific programmes and colleges. The schedule for Phase II of the CSAS is expected to be announced shortly.
