Delhi Traffic Advisory Restricts Heavy Vehicles Near Gurugram Road T-Point On July 6-7

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory restricting the movement of heavy vehicles between Chhattarpur Road (SSN Marg) and Gurugram Road T-Point for 24 hours starting from the midnight of July 6. This restriction is part of traffic management measures for the 'Guruji birthday celebration' religious congregation at Guruji Ashram near Bhatti Mines in Mehrauli, South Delhi, which is expected to draw a massive gathering of devotees, including VIPs and dignitaries.
Traffic movement is expected to be heavily affected from the intervening night of July 6 till late night on July 7. Commuters have been advised to avoid Chhattarpur Road (SSN Marg), Bhatti Mines Road, and the Gadaipur Police Post area during this period. Devotees planning to attend the event are advised to reach the Ashram before 5:00 AM to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
According to the advisory, the entry to the Ashram near Bhatti Mines will be routed via SSN Marg for all devotees and all categories of vehicles. Informational signages have been installed around the venue to guide motorists.
To prevent congestion, heavy transport vehicles (HTVs) will face specific diversions. Heavy vehicles coming from the Mandi–Dera Border towards the Guruji Ashram Complex will not be allowed to take a right turn at the Gadaipur Police Post. Instead, these vehicles will be diverted straight towards the Mehrauli–Gurugram Road.
Additionally, heavy vehicles coming from the Bhatti Mines side will be diverted via Bandh Road, Jonapur, and Mehrauli Road.
Emergency vehicles, including Delhi Police, ambulances, fire brigade, and other emergency services, are exempted from these restrictions. However, emergency vehicles entering from Faridabad via Dera More and Mandi Border have been advised by the police to take Mehrauli–Gurugram Road to avoid any inconvenience.
