Delhi Police SI Transferred After Allegedly Slapping Two Women At Adarsh Nagar Hotel

A Delhi Police sub-inspector has been transferred to the District Lines and is facing a formal departmental inquiry after allegedly slapping two women at a hotel in Panchwati, Adarsh Nagar. The incident occurred during a late-night police intervention in northwest Delhi.

The sub-inspector, identified as SI Himanshu, was captured on CCTV footage during the hotel confrontation. The video of the incident subsequently surfaced and went viral, triggering a public controversy over the officer's conduct.

According to police sources, the police team had initially dispatched to the hotel in the Panchwati area of Adarsh Nagar following reports of a late-night clash that had broken out between two opposing groups.

During the subsequent police intervention, SI Himanshu allegedly slapped two women. The victims stated that the physical assault took place directly in the presence of a female police officer who was part of the responding police team.

In addition to the physical altercation involving the sub-inspector, police sources confirmed that a woman belonging to the opposing group was also injured during the initial clash at the hotel.

Following the public emergence of the CCTV footage and the allegations made by the victims, senior police officials took administrative action. SI Himanshu was officially transferred to the District Lines, and a Preliminary General (PG) enquiry was immediately initiated.

The PG enquiry has been tasked with thoroughly examining the exact circumstances of the late-night incident, as well as investigating the professional conduct of the sub-inspector involved.

Delhi Police officials have stated that a further inquiry into the matter is currently underway. Authorities emphasized that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the officer based on the final findings of the PG enquiry.
