Delhi Police Reject Rumours of Mobile Jammers at Satya Niketan Collapse Site

The Delhi Police on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, dismissed claims that mobile phone jammers had been deployed at the building collapse rescue site in Satya Niketan. Authorities confirmed that telecommunication networks in the locality remain fully operational and have not been restricted in any manner.

The clarification was issued after rumors began circulating on social media platforms alleging that signal jammers had been installed around the scene. In a post on X, the police described the allegations regarding mobile jammers as "completely false."

Officials stated that rescue personnel are relying directly on uninterrupted cellular connectivity to carry out their duties. Teams from the Delhi Police, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the fire department have been coordinating seamlessly through mobile communication without encountering network disruptions.

The police also pointed out that media personnel covering the operation and local citizens at the site have been broadcasting live updates without issue. Voice and data transmissions from the location have continued normally throughout the response work.

The multi-agency emergency operation was launched after a multi-storey building collapsed in Satya Niketan on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The building, which housed a boys' paying guest facility, collapsed and left seven people dead.
