Delhi Plans Two New Yamuna River Bridges To Expand Ring Road Connectivity

The Delhi government and city development authorities have commenced the planning and development of two new bridges over the Yamuna River in Delhi. The new infrastructure project is designed to expand the capital's river crossing options and improve regional connectivity.
Currently, Delhi has 17 existing bridges spanning the Yamuna River. The addition of the two planned structures will expand this infrastructure, providing new points of transit across the river.
A key focus of the new bridges is to improve connectivity via the Ring Road project. In addition to their transport function, the authorities are designing the structures to honor and celebrate the historical legacy and heritage of the capital city.
The project is currently in its planning phase. The Delhi government and city development authorities have not yet specified the exact timeline, dates, or budget for the commencement and completion of the construction work.
With 17 bridges currently facilitating movement across the Yamuna River, these two upcoming projects represent the latest effort by city development authorities to upgrade Delhi's transport network and integrate historical design elements into modern infrastructure.
