Delhi Govt Launches RAMP Scheme to Support Over 30,000 MSMEs

The Delhi government on Thursday launched a capacity-building programme for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the Centre's Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme, with modern exhibition and business centres planned in Bawana and Narela. Officials stated that over 30,000 local businesses are set to benefit from training, technology adoption, and market-access initiatives.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the central government has approved ₹49.74 crore for Delhi under the RAMP initiative. Under the programme, more than 30,000 MSMEs will receive modern skills and training by January 2027, while over 10,000 enterprises will be linked to digital platforms to broaden their market reach.
Gupta explained that the administration is focusing on four primary pillars: finance, training, technology, and markets. She noted that enhanced coordination between the central government and the Delhi administration would directly support local traders and entrepreneurs.
The government highlighted financial support measures under the Delhi Credit Guarantee Scheme, which allows eligible micro and small enterprises to access collateral-free loans of up to ₹10 crore. Under this initiative, the government provides credit guarantees covering up to 95 per cent of the loan value. Since February 1, 2026, a total of 10,505 guarantees worth ₹4,806 crore have been approved.
Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that infrastructure development works worth approximately ₹500 crore have been tendered across industrial areas in the city. Sirsa added that the government is developing an artificial intelligence-enabled single-window portal for MSMEs and rolling out targeted support programmes for women entrepreneurs.
To further assist local manufacturers and traders, the government plans to construct modern exhibition and business facilities in Bawana and Narela, aimed at connecting Delhi-based industries to national and international markets.
