Delhi Government to Spend Rs 104 Crore to Maintain 500 Monumental National Flags

The Delhi government is currently undertaking an ongoing civic project to manage the maintenance, regular washing, and replacement of 500 monumental national flags installed across Delhi.

This massive upkeep initiative requires a total expenditure of Rs 104 crore to keep the Tricolours flying and maintained in proper condition.

According to the authorities, the 500 monumental flags are located at various key points across the city. Because these flags are continuously exposed to weather conditions, they require regular washing to keep them clean, as well as regular maintenance of the high-mast poles.

The Delhi government authorities are overseeing the ongoing operations to ensure that any damaged, torn, or faded flags are replaced immediately. The Rs 104 crore budget has been allocated to cover these operational costs, ensuring that the national flags are kept in a state of dignity and respect.

The maintenance and replacement process is an ongoing task managed by the government to address the wear and tear that the large Tricolours experience over time.
