Delhi Government Probes Unrecognised School, Warns Of Potential Closure

The Delhi government has launched an official probe into a school in the capital following allegations that it has been operating without proper recognition from authorities.

The inquiry was initiated after the Education Department received information indicating that the institution lacked the required recognition to function. Government officials are currently examining the school's documentation to verify whether it complies with established operational norms and regulatory standards.

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood announced the development on the social media platform X, confirming that the administration is reviewing the school's records. He emphasised that institutions found violating regulations would face legal consequences.

"If any violation, irregularity, or non-compliance with the prescribed norms is established, strict action will be taken under the applicable provisions of the RTE Act and other relevant laws," Sood stated. "Based on the findings of the inquiry, appropriate action, including closure of the school, may also be taken in accordance with the law."

The minister reiterated the government's stance on regulatory adherence and student protection, noting that the administration will not compromise on the safety, security, and well-being of children. He added that no institution will be permitted to operate outside the legal framework or established norms, and any confirmed violations will lead to decisive administrative action.

There was no immediate response from the administration of the concerned school regarding the probe at the time the details were made public.
