Delhi Court Grants Bail to Cook in Malviya Nagar Hotel Fire Case

A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to a cook who was arrested in connection with a fatal fire at the Flourish Stays Bed and Breakfast in Malviya Nagar's Hauz Rani area. The blaze, which swept through the establishment on June 3, claimed 22 lives.
Additional Sessions Judge Samar Vishal granted bail to the cook, identified as Keshar Negi. Negi was arrested last month after investigators alleged that his negligence played a role in triggering the fatal blaze.
Following the incident, law enforcement officers detained and questioned several individuals connected to the establishment as part of an ongoing investigation into the tragedy. Officials subsequently confirmed that the hotel building lacked a valid fire no-objection certificate.
In addition to Negi, hotel owner Lavkesh Bajaj was also arrested in connection with the fire. Bajaj faces charges including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
