Delhi BJP Launches Youth Outreach After Gen Z Protest at Jantar Mantar

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to intensify its outreach among young voters across the capital following a recent Gen Z-led protest at Jantar Mantar. The decision comes after internal party feedback suggested the need for more active engagement with youth issues, first-time voters, and university students.

According to party sources, the strategic initiative will operate across three levels involving the Delhi state unit, Delhi BJP MLAs and ministers, and student organisations. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) are expected to play a central role in driving campus engagement across colleges and universities in the city.

The party's internal assessment indicated that while it possesses strong organisational support, direct engagement with students on contemporary issues needs to be expanded. Party sources said the BJYM has been directed to construct a calendar of dedicated programmes across university campuses, while Delhi ministers have been encouraged to step up direct interactions with youth groups and students.

The outreach officially kicked off its first phase on Sunday during the broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat, which BJP workers listened to across approximately 6,450 locations in Delhi. In conjunction with the broadcast, Delhi BJP state unit president Harsh Malhotra hosted 'Yuva Samvad (Gen-Z with Modi)', an interaction with around 50 students from various colleges and universities.
