Delhi BJP Files Police Complaint Over Morphed Image of Nitin Nabin with Tricolour

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party has lodged a formal complaint with the Delhi Police regarding a picture circulating on social media that allegedly depicts party leader Nitin Nabin holding the Indian national flag upside down. The party has termed the circulating image fake and demanded a police investigation along with the arrest of those responsible for sharing it.

A delegation of Delhi BJP leaders, acting on instructions from Delhi BJP state president Harsh Malhotra, met Delhi Police Special Commissioner Devesh Srivastava to submit the official complaint. The delegation requested a detailed inquiry into how the image was generated and spread across digital networks.

According to the complaint, several fabricated, morphed, and deliberately doctored images showing Nabin with the national flag were circulated online between August 14 and August 16. The submission noted that the content was disseminated across multiple major social media platforms, including X, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Malhotra targeted political opponents over the circulation of the image, accusing what he described as a defeated and frustrated Opposition of repeatedly misusing social media platforms to disturb the atmosphere in the country. He stated that BJP workers would not permit such malicious attempts to succeed.

Malhotra further demanded that the police register a formal case against the individuals responsible for creating and circulating the morphed visuals, urging law enforcement officials to take swift action against the perpetrators.
