Delhi and Bengaluru Police Seize Rs 10 Crore MDMA in Amar Colony Raid

The Delhi Police and Bengaluru Police successfully seized approximately 3.25 kg of MDMA, valued at nearly Rs 10 crore, and detained a Nigerian national during a joint raid conducted at a house in Amar Colony, Southeast Delhi.

The operation was initiated after a team from the Bengaluru Police traveled to Delhi in connection with an ongoing investigation. The Bengaluru officers were searching for a specific suspect believed to be linked to their case. Seeking local support to execute the operation, they approached the South-East Delhi Police for assistance.

In response to the request, the South-East Delhi district police constituted a special team to coordinate and carry out a joint operation with the visiting officers.

The joint police team subsequently identified and raided a house in the Amar Colony neighborhood. Although the specific suspect that the Bengaluru Police were looking for was not found at the premises, officers conducted a search of the property.

The search led to the recovery of approximately 3.25 kg of MDMA, a common party drug. Investigators estimate the market value of the seized contraband to be nearly Rs 10 crore.

During the raid, a Nigerian national was detained by the police. The individual has been taken into custody for further questioning and investigation.

Police investigators are now working to establish the source of the seized narcotics. The ongoing probe is focused on identifying the intended supply network and determining whether the seizure is connected to a larger, active interstate drug trafficking syndicate. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
