DDA to Hold Over 20 Stakeholder Meetings in Next Three Months on MPD 2047

The Delhi Development Authority will conduct more than 20 stakeholder meetings over the next three months to address the implementation of the Master Plan for Delhi 2047 across New Delhi, following directions issued by Lieutenant Governor TS Sandhu.

The scheduled series of consultations is designed to bring together elected officials, government bodies, professional organisations, industry associations, residents, and landowners to foster coordination and active participation in executing the master plan.

As part of the outreach, the DDA plans to engage directly with Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly regarding crucial planning frameworks. These discussions will cover transit-oriented development, high-density corridors, land pooling mechanisms, and regulations for low-density areas.

Separate sessions are slated for various government agencies and civic service providers to streamline infrastructure planning and service delivery under the prospective framework.

Industry and commerce representatives—including the Confederation of Indian Industry, FICCI, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ASSOCHAM, and the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation—will participate in focused deliberations concerning industrial development and land availability.

Additionally, architects, urban planners, and related professional institutions will review technical aspects of transit-oriented development, high-density corridors, and land pooling. Consultations will also encompass resident welfare associations and local housing representatives to gather community perspectives on the city's long-term development roadmap.
