DDA Sells 661 Narela Flats on Opening Day of Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana

More than half of the flats offered under the Delhi Development Authority's Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026 in Narela were booked on the opening day, with buyers purchasing 661 of the 1,218 units on August 15. Officials stated that the strong opening sales reflect an increasing demand for affordable, ready-to-move homes in the Narela area.
The housing scheme, which was launched under the guidance of Lieutenant Governor TS Sandhu, opened for bookings on a first-come, first-served basis. Buyer interest was highest for the 1-BHK flats, leading to the entire inventory of single-bedroom units being booked on the very first day.
Under the Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026, the DDA is offering a total of 1,218 ready-to-move flats situated in Pocket 11, Sector A1-A4, Narela. The authority made the inventory available with a flat 25 percent discount across different configurations, including 1-BHK, 2-BHK, and 3-BHK flats.
Following the 25 percent price reduction, the discounted rates for the flats start at Rs 33.4 lakh for 1-BHK units, Rs 75.5 lakh for 2-BHK units, and Rs 1 crore for 3-BHK flats. The scheme has been specifically targeted at serving government employees, retired government personnel, and professionals working across other sectors.
Officials highlighted that the robust first-day bookings are part of an ongoing trend of high demand for DDA housing developments in Narela. During the first quarter of the current financial year, the DDA recorded the sale of 1,284 flats, generating more than Rs 1,020 crore in overall revenue. Narela contributed significantly to these figures, accounting for 1,153 of the sold units, which represents nearly 90 percent of the total sales during that period.
According to authority officials, the immediate response from homebuyers on the opening day further reinforces Narela’s position and emergence as an expanding residential hub within Delhi.
