DDA Launches Online FAQs and Feedback Portal for Delhi Master Plan 2047
NEW DELHI — The Delhi Development Authority has launched a digital outreach initiative featuring a comprehensive set of Frequently Asked Questions and an online feedback module to help the public better understand the Master Plan of Delhi 2047, officials announced on Sunday.
The outreach measures were initiated following directions from Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who asked the authority to improve public access to details concerning MPD-2047.
According to a statement issued by the authority, the FAQs have been published on the official DDA website under the "What's New" section. The resource is designed to provide citizens and stakeholders with simple and easily accessible explanations regarding various planning provisions and regulatory frameworks outlined in the master plan.
The questions cover a wide spectrum of subjects related to the city's future growth. These include general provisions, development control norms, redevelopment strategies, heritage conservation, public spaces, the land pooling policy, and transit-oriented development. In addition, the guide addresses high-density corridors, low-density areas, and in-situ slum rehabilitation projects.
The DDA stated that the FAQs also clarify multiple practical and technical aspects of MPD-2047. Citizens can find guidance on permissible land use, floor area ratio (FAR), plot requirements, parking regulations, and Transferable Development Rights. The guide further details eligibility criteria, development models, and approval processes under the Land Pooling and TOD policies.
Alongside the FAQ release, the DDA has introduced a dedicated feedback tool on its citizen services platform to facilitate public participation. The MPD-2047 facility allows stakeholders and residents to submit suggestions and comments directly to planning authorities.
Users can access the feature by registering on the citizen services website at citzservices.dda.org.in. Once logged in, the MPD-2047 option is visible on the main menu bar, and it is also available under the "At Your Service" section.
The DDA noted that the new feedback portal establishes a direct channel for the public to place their views before the administration, enabling continued dialogue and a participatory approach toward finalizing and executing the master plan.
