DDA Inks Deal With Juniper Hotels for ₹1,000 Cr Five-Star Project in Dwarka Sector 23

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has signed an agreement with Juniper Hotels Ltd for the development of a five-star hotel in Sector 23, Dwarka. The project is expected to draw over ₹1,000 crore in capital investment and generate around 800 direct jobs.

The agreement was executed on August 12 in the presence of DDA vice-chairman N Saravana Kumar. Juniper Hotels was represented by chairman and managing director Arun K Saraf and president Amit Saraf.

The hotel will be developed on a licence-fee model and is slated to become operational by 2030. According to officials, the project is one of four special licence-fee projects auctioned by the authority over the past year and marks the first for which a formal licensing agreement has been executed. The 55-year licence is projected to generate more than ₹6,000 crore in revenue for the DDA over its term, with site handover scheduled to take place soon.

Planned to operate under the Grand Hyatt brand through Juniper Hotels' partnership with Hyatt, the property will overlook the DDA's Dwarka Golf Course. It is situated opposite the proposed Diplomatic Enclave and in close proximity to the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre and the Dwarka Sports Complex.

The DDA stated that the strategic location is aimed at catering to business travellers, convention visitors, tourists, and golfers. The development forms part of broader initiatives by the authority to enhance commercial and hospitality infrastructure in Dwarka and expand five-star accommodation across Delhi-NCR.
