DDA Housing Revenue More Than Doubles to Rs 1,020 Crore Led by Narela Flat Sales

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has recorded a 120 per cent increase in its housing sales revenue during the first quarter of the current financial year, driven heavily by flat sales in the sub-city of Narela. The authority earned Rs 1,020 crore from housing sales between April 1 and June 30, a significant rise from the Rs 462 crore generated during the same period in the 2025-26 financial year.
According to official data, the DDA sold a total of 1,284 flats during this three-month period. This represents an increase in volume from the first quarter of the previous financial year, when the authority sold 1,175 units.
Narela emerged as the single largest contributor to the DDA's housing sales performance. A total of 1,153 flats were sold in the sub-city, accounting for nearly 90 per cent of the total revenue earned by the authority during the quarter.
DDA officials attributed the revenue growth in Narela to a notable shift in homebuyer demand. In previous years, buyers in the sub-city preferred low-income group (LIG) housing. However, during the first quarter of the current financial year, demand shifted towards middle-income group (MIG) flats.
Of the total 1,284 flats sold across Delhi, MIG units accounted for the highest share at 34 per cent, with 435 flats sold. The DDA also sold 336 economically weaker section (EWS) flats, 322 LIG units, and 191 high-income group (HIG) flats during the quarter.
In Narela, the EWS category experienced an almost complete sell-out. DDA officials stated that this high transaction rate underscores the strong demand for affordable housing options in the sub-city.
Currently, the DDA is selling housing units through several active schemes. These include the DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana, which offers a 25 per cent discount to government employees, and the DDA Nagrik Awaas Yojana. Additionally, the authority is offering properties under the DDA Towering Heights Scheme, located in Karkardooma in east Delhi.
