Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection Crosses Rs 61 Crore on Day 6 of Release

The modern romantic comedy drama 'Cocktail 2' has crossed the Rs 61 crore domestic net collection mark on Wednesday, the sixth day of its theatrical release. The film is currently making a determined final push to reach the Rs 75 crore box office milestone before the advance bookings for the upcoming Akshay Kumar-led film 'Welcome to the Jungle' open later this week.
Directed by Homi Adajania, 'Cocktail 2' stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie serves as a spiritual successor to the 2012 cult film 'Cocktail'. The film has managed to maintain a steady momentum throughout its premier week as it enters the final stretch of its initial run.
With its domestic net collections now surpassing Rs 61 crore, the film has successfully achieved the lower end of its projected target range for its first week. There are currently two full days remaining before the first week of the film's theatrical run officially closes.
If 'Cocktail 2' maintains its current daily hold, which is estimated to be in the range of Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 4 crore through Thursday, the film is on track to wrap up its first week with a domestic net collection between Rs 65 crore and Rs 68 crore. This performance is being measured against the film's reported budget of Rs 150 crore.
The upcoming days are crucial for the film's financial run as it prepares to face massive theatrical competition. The advance bookings for 'Welcome to the Jungle', starring Akshay Kumar, are set to open this week, which is expected to shift the focus of moviegoers and test the holding power of the Shahid Kapoor-starrer in theatres across the country.
