Class X Influencer Claims She Was Real Target in Jantar Mantar Attack That Hurt Father

A Class X student and Ambedkarite social media influencer said on Friday that she was the intended target of an armed group at Jantar Mantar, following an attack that left her father injured and triggered demonstrations outside the Parliament Street police station.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) staged a protest at the Parliament Street police station on Friday, demanding the immediate registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Swatantra Bhardwaj. Bhardwaj had previously claimed responsibility for the assault on the student's father and boasted about the act in a video circulated online.
Speaking after the CJP protest, the student, whose identity is withheld because she is a minor, said a group armed with sticks had arrived at Jantar Mantar specifically seeking her out. She pointed out the irony that her family's demand for legal action gained traction only after the alleged perpetrator openly bragged about the violence on camera.
The student established a presence as an Ambedkarite influencer after launching a YouTube channel in 2023, which she operates alongside an Instagram account under the same name. Her short videos previously gained widespread attention for documenting the reactions of students affected by paper leaks and delayed government recruitment exams while demanding institutional accountability.
During ongoing CJP demonstrations, her social media accounts emerged as a primary source for live updates from Jantar Mantar. Following the spread of her videos, she reported facing severe online harassment and being hounded for speaking publicly about student grievances.
The student added that ever since Bhardwaj's video surfaced on the internet, inquiries directed at her have centred largely on the nature of the injuries suffered by her father, rather than addressing whether the family had secured justice from the authorities.
