BJP Targets Rahul Gandhi With Missing Posters In Delhi Calling Him Leader Of Paryatan

Political tension escalated in Delhi on Friday after "missing" posters targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi surfaced across several parts of the city. The appearance of the physical posters prompted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to launch a sharp political attack against the Leader of the Opposition, criticizing his frequent foreign trips and contrasting his work ethic with that of the Prime Minister.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla led the verbal offensive, dubbing Gandhi the "Leader of Paryatan," which translates to the Leader of Tourism. Reacting to the development of the posters in the national capital, Poonawalla took a swipe at the Congress MP in a post on the social media platform X, referring to him as "Gumshuda Lapata MIA Rahul Baba" and "Leader of Paryatan."

In a subsequent post on X, Poonawalla contrasted the active work record of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Gandhi's reported foreign visits. Poonawalla stated that Prime Minister Modi has been in "work mode" and has spent almost 9,000 days serving as chief minister and prime minister without taking a single holiday.

In contrast, the BJP spokesperson claimed that Gandhi operates in "vacation mode" and spends crores of rupees on holidays every year, reiterating his label of Gandhi as the "Leader of Paryatan."

In a video message released on Friday, Poonawalla further alleged that Gandhi frequently remains away during key political and parliamentary occasions. He went on to suggest that Gandhi should rename his official title of Leader of Opposition (LoP) to "Leader of Paryatan and Partying," asserting that this is what the Congress leader always does.

The incident has intensified the ongoing verbal sparring and political tension between the BJP and the Congress party in Delhi, highlighting the deep political divide over Gandhi's travel history and his presence during crucial legislative events.
