BJP Announces New National Team Under Nitin Nabin With Smriti Irani as General Secretary

The Bharatiya Janata Party announced its fresh national team under party chief Nitin Nabin ahead of upcoming state elections, bringing former Union minister Smriti Irani back into a key organisational role as national general secretary. The reshuffle features prominent representation from Delhi, including Ram Madhav as national vice president and BL Santhosh continuing as national general secretary (organisation).

The new organisational lineup combines experienced leaders with younger faces, placing strong emphasis on regional representation across southern, eastern, and northeastern states. Leaders from Kerala, West Bengal, Odisha, and the northeast have been assigned key secretary and vice-president responsibilities.

Women feature prominently in the central leadership group. Six of the 13 national vice presidents are women, and the team also includes four women secretaries and one woman general secretary. In addition, two leaders from the Muslim community have been appointed.

Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje will continue in her role as national vice president. Alongside Raje and Delhi's Ram Madhav, the panel of vice presidents includes Tirath Singh Rawat from Uttarakhand, Baijayant Jay Panda from Odisha, D Purandeswari from Andhra Pradesh, Rekha Verma and Tariq Mansoor from Uttar Pradesh, and Sardar Manpreet Singh Badal from Punjab.

The list of vice presidents also includes Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi from Gujarat, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar from Maharashtra, Lal Singh Arya from Madhya Pradesh, M Nagaraj from Karnataka, and Madhuchhanda Kar from West Bengal.

Under organisational operations, BL Santhosh continues his role from Delhi, supported by joint general secretaries Shiv Prakash in Mumbai and Saudan Singh in Chandigarh. Sandeep Pathak, who previously quit the Aam Aadmi Party, has been appointed as a national secretary, while Sambit Patra has taken charge as coordinator for the northeast region.

To manage communications, Anil Baluni has been appointed media coordinator, assisted by joint coordinators Ashish Usha Agarwal, Pradeep Bhandari, and Siddharth Yadav. Deepak Mhaskey will head social media strategy, supported by joint coordinators Priti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav.
