Biker Dies in Sector 4 Hit-and-Run as Pickup Truck Driver Flees

A 28-year-old bartender was killed in a hit-and-run collision near Om Satyam Apartments in Dwarka Sector 4 early Sunday morning after his motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck suspected of driving on the wrong side of the road.
Police officers dispatched to the scene following a PCR call received around 3:25 a.m. found the victim's Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle lodged beneath the front left wheel of a Mahindra Bolero CNG pickup truck. Based on the position of the vehicles and the accident site, investigators suspect the truck had entered the road from the wrong direction.
The victim, identified as Rohit, was a resident of Najafgarh who worked as a bartender for private parties. He was rushed to Indira Gandhi Hospital, where attending doctors declared him brought dead.
Following the incident, police registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 281 for rash driving on a public way and 106(1) for causing death by negligence.
The owner of the pickup truck, identified as Sunny Goel, told police that the vehicle was being driven by Mangal Singh. Singh, a native of Jalaun district in Uttar Pradesh who resides in Mitraon village in Najafgarh, fled the spot after the crash and remains untraced.
