Army and Delhi Police Destroy Recovered Rocket Launchers in Narela

A joint operation by the Indian Army, Delhi Police Special Cell, and the Forensic Science Laboratory was underway in Delhi’s Narela area on Wednesday to destroy rocket launchers recovered in connection with a terror investigation.
The rocket launchers were seized following the arrest of two suspected terrorists in Manipur. The weapons were subsequently transported to the national capital for formal examination and safe disposal by specialised personnel.
According to officials, the recovered rocket launchers formed part of a larger cache of arms, ammunition, and explosive materials discovered during a joint search operation conducted in Manipur related to the case.
The broader seizure in Manipur included rifles, hundreds of rounds of live ammunition, detonators, and various other explosive materials.
The ongoing disposal exercise in Narela is being conducted by specialised teams. The recovered weapons are being destroyed in a controlled manner to ensure safety during the operation.
Authorities confirmed that extensive security arrangements have been put in place around the Narela site while the disposal process is carried out.
