Alka Lamba's Father's Tagore Garden House Burgled of Cash and Jewellery

Three masked men allegedly burgled the Tagore Garden residence of Congress functionary Alka Lamba’s 88-year-old father in west Delhi during the early hours of Sunday, escaping with cash and jewellery, police said.

The house, located in C-Block, Tagore Garden, falls under the jurisdiction of the Rajouri Garden police station. According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered in connection with the incident, the burglars made off with a gold chain, diamond earrings, and gold earrings, along with Rs 1.75 lakh in cash.

The entire intrusion was captured by CCTV cameras installed on the property. The footage purportedly shows three masked individuals entering the residence and subsequently fleeing the scene together on a single motorcycle.

Lamba stated that her father was safe following the incident and claimed that the perpetrators managed to execute the entire burglary within approximately 10 minutes.

In a post on social media platform X, Lamba shared details of the incident, noting that the CCTV footage installed at her father's house revealed the sequence of events. She stated that the three masked men entered, cleared out the valuables in 10 minutes, and fled on a bike.

She urged the Delhi Police to review footage from CCTV cameras installed throughout the surrounding neighbourhood to identify and trace the suspects, noting that the primary video evidence from the property has already been handed over to investigators to assist in the probe.
