ABVP Launches 'My DU, My Manifesto' Campaign Ahead of DUSU Elections

Ahead of the upcoming Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Delhi has launched a new campaign titled 'My DU, My Manifesto' to collect student feedback across University of Delhi colleges.

The student organisation announced the initiative on Monday, inviting students to share their concerns, expectations, and suggestions. ABVP stated that the inputs gathered through the campaign will be directly incorporated into its forthcoming election manifesto.

The DUSU elections are scheduled to take place on September 18, with the counting of votes set for September 19. The upcoming polls are expected to see participation from several student organisations across the university.

Under the campaign, students can submit their views by scanning a QR code or by speaking directly with ABVP volunteers who are conducting outreach across various DU colleges. The organisation emphasised that the manifesto should reflect the real needs, experiences, and aspirations of the student body rather than being drafted solely by student leaders.

ABVP Delhi state secretary Sarthak Sharma said the initiative is aimed at reaching out to every student to identify the most pressing issues on campus and the changes they want to see at the university. Sharma added that the organisation will review the suggestions and translate them into student-centric policy proposals for the election.
