AAP Delegation Seeks Meeting with Delhi Police Chief Over Crime and Drug Trade

The Aam Aadmi Party has sought a meeting with Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar to raise urgent concerns over what the party described as a worsening law and order situation, rising crime, and the illicit drug trade across the national capital.

Kuldeep Kumar, vice-president of AAP Delhi, confirmed that he has written a formal letter to the Delhi Police chief on behalf of an MLA delegation, requesting an appointment to discuss the issue.

In a statement shared on X, Mr. Kumar noted that complaints concerning the illegal trade and sale of narcotic substances in various parts of his assembly constituency have been emerging continuously alongside other criminal incidents. He emphasized that the growing prevalence of narcotics poses a severe threat to young residents and their families.

Mr. Kumar stated that local residents have expressed widespread anger over the prevailing security conditions and the unchecked sale of drugs. He urged the police administration to step up enforcement and take strict, effective action against organized crime and drug networks operating in the city.

The AAP delegation expressed hope that the Delhi Police Commissioner would grant a meeting at the earliest, citing the seriousness of the law and order challenges confronting the capital.
