AAP Claims ACB Admitted To Destruction of ₹700-Crore Delhi Scam Files

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday claimed that the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has admitted before a Delhi court that files related to an alleged ₹700-crore medical procurement scam in the Delhi government were destroyed.

AAP Delhi president Saurabh Bharadwaj raised sharp questions over the matter, highlighting that the records disappeared amidst an active investigation. Bharadwaj questioned the removal and destruction of dozens of official Delhi government files while a vigilance inquiry was actively underway.

Bharadwaj further alleged that the mastermind behind the ₹700-crore scam was given ample time to flee the country.

He stated that the scale of the irregularities extended far beyond two government doctors and an accountant, alleging that the misappropriated funds went to senior political leaders and claiming that a cover-up was being managed from the top level.
