Following the nuptials, the actor is expected to return to work on the sets of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming project, "3 Idiots 2." The film is a sequel to the 2009 blockbuster "3 Idiots," which featured Khan alongside co-stars R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Boman Irani.

According to reports, the sequel will revisit the stories of the popular characters Rancho, Farhan, and Raju, picking up about 10 years after the events of the original film.
