Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt register marriage ahead of private July 5 wedding

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have registered their marriage ahead of an intimate wedding ceremony scheduled for July 5, 2026. The actor, who is marrying for the third time, has chosen to host a simple celebration at home rather than a lavish public wedding.
Confirming the details of the ceremony, Khan stated that the couple has opted for a basic, low-key event. The ceremony is set to take place at a private residence as a simple registered marriage, with attendance limited strictly to their immediate families and closest friends.
The update comes weeks after the actor first confirmed his plans to tie the knot. In an earlier statement, Khan confirmed the July 5 date. He admitted that while marriage was not initially a top priority for the couple, they both now feel ready to take their relationship to the next level.
With the wedding just weeks away, Khan has reportedly paused his professional commitments to focus on the preparations for the big day.
Following the nuptials, the actor is expected to return to work on the sets of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming project, "3 Idiots 2." The film is a sequel to the 2009 blockbuster "3 Idiots," which featured Khan alongside co-stars R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Boman Irani.
According to reports, the sequel will revisit the stories of the popular characters Rancho, Farhan, and Raju, picking up about 10 years after the events of the original film. Khan has kept specific details about the project under wraps, noting that he does not know what Hirani has planned but acknowledging that the cast has moved on in life since the original film.
