30th Parampara Series Opens at Kamani Auditorium in Delhi

Audiences gathered at Kamani Auditorium in Delhi despite rain for the opening of the 30th Parampara Series, the annual dance and music festival organised by Natya Tarangini.
The festival focused on two core themes this year: Kutumbh, which brings performing arts families together on stage, and Shishya, which highlights the traditional guru-shishya lineage.
On the opening day of the festival, Kuchipudi dancers presented a performance of Shiva Tarangam, dancing on the rims of brass plates. The festival lineup and attendees featured renowned exponents and artists, including Raja Reddy, Radha Reddy, Kaushalya Reddy, Saskia Rao-de Haas, Shubhendra Rao, and Ishaan Leonard Rao.
Speaking about the objective of the festival, Kuchipudi exponent and festival curator Kaushalya Reddy said, "The whole idea is to present and propagate the rich heritage of our country. It is an attempt to bring these different forms together while making them accessible to audiences beyond their traditional geographies."
The opening event drew several notable attendees, including Urvashi Rajya Laxmi Rana, Shiv Khemka, Lakshmi Puri, Shallu Jindal, K Mahesh, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Neelam Pratap Rudy, Renu Hussain, Leena Singh, and Sunit Tandon.
