A 21-year-old man was shot and injured outside a club in Preet Vihar, East Delhi, following a heated altercation in the early hours of Saturday. The victim, identified as Sameer, sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg and was rushed to a hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The incident took place around 3:00 AM. The Preet Vihar police station received a PCR call regarding the shooting from Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where Sameer had been admitted for his injuries. Following the notification, Delhi Police teams were immediately dispatched to both the hospital and the club premises to initiate a formal inquiry into the incident.

According to the police, a preliminary inquiry revealed that the PCR caller, 25-year-old Naveem, had gone to the club earlier in the night with a group of friends. Sameer, who is a resident of Noor-e-Ilahi in Ghonda, joined the group later along with another friend named Arham.

While they were inside the venue, an altercation broke out between Arham and another group of men. The confrontation quickly escalated into a heated argument. As the situation intensified, the involved individuals moved outside the club premises toward the adjacent service road.

A senior police officer stated that an unidentified person, who was already present outside the club along with his associates, allegedly fired a gunshot. The bullet struck Sameer on his right leg below the knee, before the shooter and his associates fled the spot.

Sameer is currently undergoing treatment at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where medical staff have stated that his condition is stable. The Delhi Police are continuing their investigation to identify the shooter and his associates.
