19-Year-Old Killed, Friend Injured as Truck Hits Motorcycle at I.P. Flyover

A 19-year-old man was killed and his pillion rider sustained injuries after a truck rammed into their motorcycle at the I.P. Flyover in central Delhi on Sunday morning, police officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Aman, a resident of Madanpur Khadar. According to a senior police officer, Aman was riding the motorcycle towards Sarai Kale Khan when the collision occurred.
The pillion rider on the two-wheeler was identified as 22-year-old Alber, a resident of Batla House in Jamia Nagar. While Aman died at the spot due to the impact of the crash, Alber suffered injuries.
The I.P. Estate police station received a Police Control Room (PCR) call regarding the road accident at 6:21 a.m. on Sunday, following a transfer of the call from the Civil Lines police station.
Upon receiving the alert, a police team was immediately dispatched to the crash site on the flyover. A crime investigation team was also called in to inspect the scene and document the evidence.
Both victims were rushed from the spot to the Trauma Centre. Medical personnel declared Aman dead on arrival, while Alber was admitted for medical care. Police stated that Alber is currently undergoing treatment and remains in a stable condition.
The truck involved in the fatal collision fled the scene immediately after the incident. Police have registered a case in connection with the hit-and-run and stated that efforts are underway to identify and trace the vehicle as well as its driver.
