17-year-old boy stabbed to death in Delhi's Gautampuri, suspects identified

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the Gautampuri area of Seelampur in northeast Delhi on Tuesday evening. The victim, identified as local resident Lucky Kumar, sustained multiple stab wounds to his upper body during the attack, which took place at approximately 9:00 PM and prompted an immediate police investigation. The teenager was rushed to a nearby hospital but could not be saved, officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to Delhi Police officials, authorities received a PCR call reporting a stabbing incident in the Gautampuri area on Tuesday night. A police team was immediately dispatched to the scene of the crime. Upon arriving at the spot, the officers learned that the critically injured teenager had already been shifted to the nearby JPC Hospital by bystanders. Doctors at the medical facility later declared him dead.
Ritika, the sister of the victim, shared the family's shock and grief following the violent incident. She explained that the family rushed to the scene as soon as they received news of the attack, but they were unable to save him. She stated that her brother was stabbed, and by the time they reached the spot and tried to get him to the hospital, he had already passed away.
In the wake of the killing, a specialized crime team and forensic experts visited the spot in Gautampuri. The team inspected the scene thoroughly and collected physical evidence to assist with the ongoing investigation.
The Delhi Police have registered a formal case of murder and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing. Officials added on Thursday that the accused persons have already been identified, and police teams are currently conducting efforts to apprehend them. Authorities stated that arrests in connection with the murder are expected shortly.
