12-Year-Old Girl Dies in Bus and E-Rickshaw Collision Near Majlis Park Metro Station

A 12-year-old schoolgirl died on Tuesday morning after a school bus collided with the e-rickshaw she was travelling in near the Majlis Park Metro Station in northwest Delhi. The victim, identified as Priyanshi, fell onto the road during the collision and was run over by the bus, sustaining fatal injuries.

The deceased child, Priyanshi, was a resident of Rama Garden in Mukundpur. She was on her way to school in the e-rickshaw when the fatal accident took place on Tuesday morning, according to police officials.

The Adarsh Nagar police station received a PCR call regarding the accident. Following the alert, a police team rushed to the spot near the Majlis Park Metro Station to initiate rescue operations and begin legal proceedings.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the police revealed that the school bus was being driven by 55-year-old Kamal Singh when it collided with the e-rickshaw. The e-rickshaw was transporting school children at the time of the crash.

According to a senior police officer, the impact of the collision caused Priyanshi to fall from the e-rickshaw. She then came under the school bus, sustaining grievous injuries.

Priyanshi was immediately evacuated from the scene and taken to the Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, also known as BJRM Hospital, in Jahangirpuri. However, doctors at the hospital declared her brought dead.

Police officials confirmed that no other children travelling in the e-rickshaw at the time of the collision were injured. Legal and rescue proceedings have been initiated by the local police.
