10-Year-Old Boy Reunited With Family at Anand Vihar RRTS Station

A 10-year-old boy who got separated from his family during a train journey was safely reunited with his parents at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station late Saturday night following swift coordination between station staff and Delhi Police.

The child had independently travelled to Muradnagar to visit Chhota Haridwar. His mother and other family members subsequently went to Muradnagar to bring him back. However, while returning, the child inadvertently got separated from his family.

The family deboarded at their intended destination at Anand Vihar, while the child deboarded at Sahibabad station. Station staff at Sahibabad noticed the unattended boy on the platform and immediately alerted the Operations Control Centre.

The control centre informed the station staff that the boy's parents were actively searching for him at Anand Vihar station. Station Controllers at both locations coordinated to ensure the child was safely brought back to his family.

An official from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation, which is implementing the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, stated that the boy was handed over to his parents at Anand Vihar station following necessary verification by the Delhi Police.
